It is only a tiny rosebud, a flower of God's design,
but I cannot unfold the petals with these clumsy hands of mine...
The secret of unfolding flowers is not know to such as I,
for the flowers God opens so sweetly...in my hand would fade and die.
If I cannot unfold a rosebud, this flower of God's design,
then how can I think I have the wisdom to unfold this life of mine?
So I'll trust in time for His leading, each moment of every day,
and I'll look to Him for guidance each step along life's way.
For the path that lies before me, my heavenly Father knows.
I'll trust in Him to unfold each moment, just as He unfolds the rose...

So many times my human heart forgets that God has my whole life in His hands - nothing takes Him by surprise - and He makes no mistakes. I can trust Him with today, next week - and the years to come. I can trust Him with my children, my marriage and my home. I can trust Him for the future and rest assured that He wants ONLY was is best for me. He never does anything TO me - but all things FOR me. For my good and His glory. In this knowledge I find peace, contentment and complete security.
Thanks for stopping by. I trust you know His peace for you life. What a wonderful loving Savior is Jesus my Lord.
See you next week,
Jane

How beautiful. And the poem looks as if it is beautifully framed. I have taken the liberty of copying the words. I have a project at the moment. I am going OTT (over the top) in my bedroom with roses. I think some nice calligraphy and little decoupage are warranted and I will have in words something to go with the theme. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and bliss

ReplyDeleteWhat a precious poem and thoughtful thoughts. And it is true--we can't open the roses without damagaing them--I think it is true for our kids too--we can give the nurturing--like water and fertilizer for a plant, but God has to cause the growth and the opening up ---the display of beauty. And like you said we have to trust him for this!
ReplyDeleteVery nice.
