Fifteen years ago it happened. It is happening again.
My Mom calls - - or I call my Mom.
I am excited to talk to my Mom; but...
someone else wants to talk.
The phone is no longer mine -
She wants her turn.
She verbally expresses that it is 'her turn...'
She signs, "My turn..." ( several times in a row - while verbally saying the words also!)
She talks louder and signs harder if she thinks my turn is lasting longer than it should.
She does not like it when I sign, "My turn!"
My Mom is a Mimi - - her Mimi. Her sister did the same thing to me 15 years ago when she was two. I had to share then - I remember the drill. I can share again too. I know how. I like to share. When it is 'her turn' I throw in a load of wash, clear the table, or fiddle with my camera.
Today - and everyday - they talk about Pooh, and piglet, Eeyore and rabbit. Then Anna asks her to sing. "Bibibi"( the B-I-B-L-E) "Jesus loves me" "Deep and Wide". (Today I caught a pic of her singing "This little light of mine." Notice her finger is out and her arm is going round and round.)
So I share - and watch and listen and remember.
Granddaughters love to talk to their Mimi's on the phone.
Mimi's like to talk to their granddaughters on the phone too!
In fact, I get the impression sometimes that Mimi's like to talk to their granddaughters on the phone more than they like to talk to their daughter's on the phone!!
That's OK - I know the sign for 'share'.
"OK, Anna, my turn! Please!"

Sooo cute! I can just envision your little one signing away♥
How fun is that?!? Your Mother must love it that she has to be shared.
Your young one is simply adorable.
