I had a wonderful day today. My mother in law came up on Wed night and was with the children all day on Thursday as Rob and I were out for the day. We had a wonderful day out together and came home to a house all shut down for the night; but with children still sitting in the front room with their pj's on talking and having fun with their Nana. It made me thankful once again that we have no TV. For the time had been spent interacting, playing and enjoying each other's company.
We awoke this morning to a very cold day this morning. Memories of North Dakota have been flooding my mind today as I have been out several times in the cold windy air. Tomorrow there is to be snow - and a lot of it! The kids are more than excited and me - well - I am excited right along with them!
Zak visited a new doctor today. My heart was encouraged as we left the office with a plan of attack for him. For the first time in a long time I left a doctor's office feeling hopeful. It was a blessing beyond what words could describe! My heart is so full of joy - I have been unable to sit here and write of it - for words just do not do it justice - the happiness that I have in my heart tonight is more than I can explain. I am just in awe of God's blessings to us! What a joy to know He loves my Zak - so much more than I do and has a beautiful plan for his life!

It was with much pleading that we consented to let Zak go and spend the week with his Nana. I kept asking her if she was sure - and she kept assuring me she was! So - suitcase in hand, monkey in arm - they headed out together for an adventure all their own. I reentered the house - thanking the Lord for the respite He had given me - and begging Him for added grace for my in laws! They called 3 hours later to let me know they had arrived home safely and were getting ready for dinner. All seems well.
We are all ready to snuggle down tight for a big snow storm tomorrow. I will use that time for cleaning and organizing that have gotten put on the back burner with the added amount of care Zak has needed lately. I am looking forward to a full and prosperous day tomorrow.
Ah - so much to be thankful for!
Thanks so much for stopping in. If it is cold where you are - stay warm! If you are in warm climate - know that I do not envy you. I love this cold weather!!!

I am glad you are feeling better about Zak and how to go about helping him. May God direct your every move in the right dirction. I am sure he will have fun at Grandma's house and she with him. I should know, I am a Grandma.
Have fun in the big snow. It sounds so cold that my old bones hurt. I live where it is nearly always warm and when it gets below 60%, I nearly freeze.lol Have a great weekend. connie from Texas
Your boy will have a great time at Nana's house. I'm sure he feels so big getting to go all by himself! And she will be blessed in having him, too.
We are having snow today too, but the weirdest thing is that it will slowly change to rain tomorrow, and the temps will go up into the 50s by Monday! We're expecting lots of snow and then lots of rain to wash it all away. Bummer. I like to look at the snow, but the rain will just make it all slush. Anyway, enjoy your snow storm!
enjoy the snow and know that little Zak is having the time of his life at Nana's house..Nana's somehow know how to make little grandchildren feel like a million bucks... and their treats taste sooooo good... and their hot chocolate is sooooo good....
glad you got good news from the doctor.....
I am so thrilled you came by my blog. And I am also happy to hear that you do not envy me my open windows and flip flopped feet. Most people do. I don't even envy me. I want your cold weather. I would love to be stuck inside with a snow storm outside, and the fireplace blazing and the Christmas music playing and the cozy work of the home going on.
Enjoy!
And I do not know the details of Zak but I am thanking God for the peace He has put in your heart. He knows just what we need when we need it.
Blessings to you!
Jane,
I am a Nana too..and my sweet grandsons bring so much joy. I am so happy for you for the encouragement from your doctor...I know how that feels, in a very personal way myself...
WE had snow today...but like Susan it is going to turn to rain tomorrow...I am a few hours south of her.....but it does feel like Christmas.....I am glad for the respite for you too..
