Snow Day

We arrived home last night from our meeting - quite a bit later than planned. Snow has a way of slowing things down, and making for nervous parents as the van drives through the country roads. We were thankful that we made it home in one piece and settled down for the night - knowing that an official snow day would greet us in the morning.

We were right! Here is a picture of our street this morning around 11:
The snow piles are getting higher and higher. The kids are looking forward to some awesome snow forts!
I made a pancake breakfast to fill up my cold and hungry snow shovlers. They were ready to eat the tasty brunch as they came in from digging out.
We are staying in today - as it continues to snow. Stew is simmering on the stove and homemade bread will accompany it for the evening meal. We will have an impromptu family night - as the meeting we were scheduled to be at this evening was called off due to inclement weather.
Trust you are staying warm. Thanks so much for stopping by - I am glad you did.
Blessings,
~Martie
