Labels Explained

I have chosen to label my posts. I knew that I could just put up generic labels like "family news" "devotional thoughts"... However, I desired something more unique. Finally after much thought I decided to use the Bible for my labels.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to get ad a time to lose; a time to keep and a time to cast away; a time to rend and a time to sew; a time to keep silence and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace."
I did not want to use all of these labels - for the list would be too long. So I chose a few that I will use - I still think the list is long - but it will do. Hopefully it is not too confusing. I thought I would explain the terms that may not be clear; although some of them will need no explanation.
*Time to be born

*Time to plant - work done to bring a desired end

*Time to pluck up - rewards of labor done earlier

*Time to heal

*Time to break down - taking out the old

*Time to build up - bringing something to usability

*Time to weep

*Time to laugh

*Time to mourn

*Time to get

*Time to lose

*Time to keep

*Time to cast away - "de cluttering" - physically, emotionally or spiritually

*Time to speak - this one I have decided to divide up into some categories:
*of family *of God *of food *of fellowship

*Time to love

*Time of war

*Time of peace

I love these verses; for they are so descriptive of life. Life is all about change. Some changes are easy - some are difficult. It is nice to know that as a Christian ALL changes work out for my good. My greatest goal and desire of my heart is that Christ would be magnified - that my life would point others to my Savior. I want even these labels to show that God is in control of my life - and that everything that happens in my life is first and foremost orchestrated by a loving Father who cares about me.

"In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of Him who worketh all things after the counsel of His own will: that we should be to the praise of His glory, who first trusted in Christ. Ephesians 1:11-12

I like your labeling system! Those verses do include all of life, and it's a great idea to implement them into your blog. Gave me some food for thought, too! ;)
