Tokens of Friendship

Kelli over at "There's No Place Like Home" hosts a show and tell every Friday. Hop on over and see her special treasures along with links from others who participate in this fun little activity!

I thought this Friday I would show you some gifts I recently received from a couple of friends.

First, my friend Melissa (Hi Melissa!), came for a visit. We had a wonderful time together, even though it was just for a short afternoon. She came bearing gifts - and I loved each one of them.

First was some small plates with snowmen on them. I really really like snow men and she knows it. I have enjoyed using the plates for small little snacks in the evening.

She also sent me some hot chocolate. Except this not your everyday hot chocolate - it is WHITE chocolate hot chocolate. I love the container that it came in and will keep it for my snowmen collection.
She also sent me this adorable snow man. I think he looks like a marshmallow that has melted into a snowman. What do you think? He now has a loving home and fits in well with his other snowmen friends here!
Melissa also sent me some small cookie cutters. She thought they would go along with my collection. I could not believe that she found a small little mitten to match my big one. I love each one of these little things!!

My other gift that I wanted to share with you is a clock. We recently had dinner with a couple that we have come to know quite well with the ministry here. As we get ready to leave and head out on the road with the new ministry, they wanted to give us something to remind us of them. A clock seemed the perfect gift from them - as it represents the time that we have spent together. I will cherish it and the memories of our friendship.

It is such a blessing to have friends with whom we can share life. I am so thankful for the many friends God has brought into my life.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope you have a great weekend.

White chocolate cocoa? Well--what does it taste like? I wonder if it is sweeter since white chocolate is sweeter. The snowmen are so cheerful!!

You have nice friends who give lovely gifts. I too think those plates are special. I'm a snowman fan myself, in the deep south where we do not get snow. Go figure.

What nice gifts! The plates are probably my favorite, although the cookie cutters are nice too.

I agree that the snowman does look like a melted marshmallow.

Have a great weekend!

I *LOVE* the snowman plates. They are sooo cute. And the hot chocolate looks sooo yummy! I have never had White Hot Chocolate. White Chocolate is my favorite anyway, it would be wonderful to have hot chocolate with it.
